Say it with junk – Brigitte Herrod

30 Jan

I love it when people come up with quirky ways to use otherwise useless things… such as these fine and quirky pictures by UK graphic designer and artist Brigitte Herrod.  The designs reflect ability to look twice at everyday objects and come up with a different perspective – that “why did I not think of that moment” springs to mind, using typography, quirky sayings….. and …. well…. JUNK! Most of her work is available to order through UK site Rocket St George.  Well they make me smile…. how about you?

From Scrabble pieces………

Ants Pants

…. to soccer player………

…. to farmyard animals……..and seaside postcards….

… a plastic tool box…..

Brigitte DIY

Bossy women…..which can be personalised for the bossy woman in your life…..

bossy women

And finally for all of those who remember the days you showed you appreciation for a band by wearing a pin, than “liking a page”, then this may be the ideal piccie for you….

… time to raid the junk draw……meanwhile on with the colourful adventure……

love the “cow” liner 😉 .. mmm.. interesting.. and I instead gave away my so called junk (but was important) to “Good Will “(an organisation that sells the used stuff, raise funds to give it to charity). May be I shud figure out to create something cool out junk that is lying around. This definitely gives ideas! Thanks for sharing.

Hello. I’m trying to get in touch with Brigitte Herrod. I have an email address for her which we used to communicate via but am not sure if it is working anymore as I haven’t had a reply from my last email to her. Do you have Brigitte’s contact details? And if so are you able to pass on a message to her from me? Many thanks!

Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think...
